Travel safely from the start
The Tulip - Graphite infant car seat from ABC Design offers your little one optimum protection during the car journey. The side impact protection and the 3-point harness system ensure optimum safety. The harness system grows with your child and can be adjusted to the size of your little one in 3 stages. The integrated seat reducer offers optimum support and can be removed as soon as your little one grows. The large sun canopy protects against the sun on hot days.

Simple attachment in the car
You can attach the Tulip infant car seat quickly and easily using your car's 3-point seat belt. As with all infant car seats, it is installed in the opposite direction to the direction of travel. If you often travel by car, we recommend purchasing the optional Isofix base. With this, you don't have to strap the infant car seat in every time, but simply place it on the Isofix base that is already installed. With the Isofix Base Root, ABC Design now also offers a base that can be rotated 360 degrees. Of course, this also fits the Tulip.
This saves you a lot of time and effort. It also helps enormously to avoid mistakes when attaching the seat. A practical color indicator immediately shows you the correct installation. The seat cover and upholstery are removable and can be washed by hand at 30° C. A matching mosquito net and rain cover are available as accessories.
Practical travel system for shopping trips & co.
The carrycot also cuts a great figure as a practical travel system on the ABC Design baby carriages. Switching from the car to the baby carriage frame is quick and easy: at 3.95 kg, the Tulip infant car seat is a real lightweight and can be easily lifted out of the car. With the Tulip, your little one can be gently placed on the baby carriage frame in just a few easy steps without having to wake them up.
So you have a perfect system with very little effort. You can order the necessary adapter separately in our store. The base of the infant car seat is slightly rounded. This allows your little one to rock gently and comfortably to sleep. The Tulip infant car seat already complies with the latest ECE R129 safety standard.
Stay warm on cold days with the footmuff
Even if the temperatures in winter are sometimes icy, you should avoid winter jackets and the like in the car for the sake of safety. Thick winter clothing prevents the seat belts from fitting snugly against your child's body. The softly lined ABC Design footmuff keeps your baby nice and warm on the winter journey without impairing the function of the protective harness system. It has been specially designed for use in the Tulip car seat. The footmuff can also be used as a cozy insert for the carrycot of the baby carriage.
Integrated slots for the belt guide allow the belt system to be attached securely. The footmuff is then closed over the straps using the zipper in the middle. The hood can be adjusted using a drawstring, providing optimum protection for your baby's particularly sensitive head from the cold and draughts. The foot area can be opened separately. Snuggled up in the ABC Design footmuff, little ones can enjoy a comfortable and safe ride even in the cold season.

Do not use the child seat on a seat on which a front airbag is activated.
This is a child restraint system in the i-Size category.
It has been approved for use on such vehicle seats in accordance with regulation no. 129 for use on vehicle seats that are suitable for i-Size restraint systems according to the vehicle manufacturer's specifications in the vehicle manual.
In case of doubt, the manufacturer of the child restraint system or the retailer can be consulted.It is suitable for babies and children from birth to approx. 15 months (0-13 kg body weight).
• Correct installation is likely if the vehicle manufacturer states in the vehicle handbook that the vehicle is suitable for a „universal“ child restraint system for this age group.
• This child restraint system has been classified as „universal“ under stricter conditions than was the case with earlier models that do not carry this label.
• In case of doubt, please contact the manufacturer or the seller of the child restraint system.
• The safety of the child seat is only guaranteed by the manufacturer if it is used by the original purchaser. For this reason, it is not recommended to buy a second-hand seat.
• The child car seat should not be used for 5 years after purchase. Under certain circumstances, the quality of the seat can be imperceptibly impaired by heavy use.
• Only use the child seat on car seats facing in the direction of travel.
• Folding car seats must be firmly locked in place.
• If the child seat is fitted on the front passenger seat, the front passenger seat must be pushed as far back as possible.
• The child seat must not be used on car seats with airbag protection. If necessary, deactivate the airbag (ask your car dealer)
• The backrest of the front passenger seat must be in the fully upright position. An adjustable headrest must be pushed to the lowest position.
• The child seat must not be caught in the car door or in fold-down seats; no heavy objects may lie on the child seat.
• Never hold your baby on the lap in the car. You will not be able to hold your baby against the immense forces that are released in an accident.
• Never put the car seat belt around yourself and the child.
• Do not make any changes to the child seat or the belts.
• Make sure that the car seat belt is not damaged and is fully functional.
• All belts intended for fastening the restraint system must be tensioned. The straps used to hold the child must be taut. Make sure that these straps are not twisted.
• Never leave your baby in the child seat for too long. Although the child seat offers optimum comfort, your child must lie on its tummy regularly. This supports its healthy development.
• To avoid exposing your child to unnecessary heat, the baby seat should not be exposed to the blazing sun when not in use. Parts of the child seat could become hot and burn your child.
• Also use the child seat on short journeys.
This is where most accidents happen.
• Never leave your child unattended in the child seat or in the car.
• Set a good example and always fasten your seat belt.
• Encourage your child never to play with the seat belt buckle.
• Take short breaks on longer journeys so that your child has the opportunity to recover from the exertions of the journey outside the vehicle.
• To ensure the safety of your child, please read these instructions for use carefully,
and follow the installation instructions exactly.
• The child seat has been tested and approved in accordance with the European safety standard ECE R129. It is suitable for babies and children from birth to approx. 15 months (0-13 kg body weight).
• The child seat can only guarantee its safety if it is used correctly.
• The child seat can be fastened with a three-point automatic belt both on the front passenger seat and on the back seats, provided that this complies with the ECE R16 regulation or an equivalent standard.
We recommend that you place the seat on the back bench.
• The baby seat must not be fastened with the lap belt alone.
• In the car, the child seat must always be secured with the car seat belts, even if there is no child in it.
• A loosely attached seat can injure the car occupants in the event of emergency braking or an accident.
• Children have a great urge to move and should therefore always remain strapped in the baby seat, even outside the car.
• Make sure that the seat is not damaged by jamming in the vehicle door, rotating car seats, objects placed on the child seat (e.g. luggage) or similar.
• Do not make any modifications to your child seat. This could impair the safety of the seat.
• After an accident (even at low impact speeds of over 10 km/h), damage may have occurred to the child car seat that is not necessarily obvious. In this case, the child car seat must be replaced. Please dispose of it properly.
• We recommend that you check whether the child seat can be fitted properly before purchasing it.
• Make sure that all luggage and objects that could injure the occupants in the event of an accident or heavy braking are adequately secured.
• Never place the child seat with the child in it on a raised surface such as a table, a work surface, a bed or a shopping cart.
The seat with the baby in it could fall down.
• The operating instructions should be kept in the storage compartment provided for this purpose in the child seat.
• The child restraint system must not be used without the fabric cover.
• As the fabric covers are an essential part of the restraint system, they may only be replaced with the fabric covers recommended by the manufacturer.
• Keep the operating instructions in the compartment provided for this purpose.
• Refer to your vehicle manual for information on the position of the Isofi x anchors and the correct installation of the i-Size restraint system.
Before use, all bags and packaging materials must be removed.
