The baby shell i-Gemm - Pavement from Joie ensures a safe and comfortable car ride. Your baby lies comfortably on the soft seat cushion and is held in place by a 5-point belt. Thanks to the practical swing function, you can calm your offspring by gently rocking them and rock them to sleep.

Tested safety: Stiftung Warentest (magazine test, issue 6/2016) rated the i-Gemm infant carrier with good (1.7). In combination with the Isofix base for i-Gemm, Gemm and i-Anchor or with the Isofix base for i-Gemm, Gemm, the baby shell also scored good (1.8).

Comfort and safety

In the i-Gemm infant carrier, your little one lies comfortably and safely. The integrated side impact protection protects it reliably and absorbs the impact energy in the event of an accident. The headrest consists of three layers which form an ideal crumple zone and thus also ensure optimum safety.

From birth, the padded seat reducer is suitable, which puts your newborn in an optimal position and supports the baby as well as the neck. Your baby is held securely by the padded 5-point harness of the infant carrier. This can be adjusted in height together with the headrest. Thanks to this central height adjustment, you can adjust the infant carrier individually to your offspring. And with the help of the practical swing function, you can gently move it back and forth when your baby is restless.

The ergonomic carrying handle allows the infant carrier to be lifted and transported easily. The removable sun hood gives your baby pleasant shade on the go. It is particularly large and has an extra sun visor that you can unfold if necessary. Thanks to the practical zipper you can also extend the hood. In the back there is a small window through which you can always see your child.

Fastening in the car

The infant carrier can easily be attached with the help of the vehicle's 3-point harness. To do this, position it on the car seat in the opposite direction to the direction of travel. For even more safety, you can attach the infant carrier with a separate Isofix base available in the shop. The base for i-Gemm and Gemm or the i-AnchorFix base are suitable for this purpose. These are both equipped with a support foot that provides additional support. In combination with the appropriate base, the baby seat complies with the new EU safety regulation I-Size.

Shop'n Drive System

You can also use the i-Gemm baby seat as a practical Shop'n-Drive system. For the Joie-Buggys Mirus, Litetrax 3 and Litetrax 4 you do not need an adapter, as the attachment is made via the protective sleeve. But the baby seat can also be combined with the Joie sports car Chrome, Chrome + and Chrome DLX, thanks to the separately available Maxi-Cosi adapter. Note: This is already included with the purchase of the Chrome DLX sports car. The i-Gemm baby seat cannot be combined with other Joie prams.
