The Avan - Prime - Silent Grey infant carrier combines the highest quality with smart aesthetics, offering the greatest comfort for you and your baby. With its i-Size approval, it meets the latest safety standards. In combination with the Recaro Isofix Base for Avan / Kio (not included) it can be installed safely and easily. Together with the Avan / Kio Base i-Size and the Reboarder Kio, the Avan infant carrier is part of the Recaro Modular System. From birth up to a height of 83 cm, you can safely transport your baby in the infant carrier. When your baby is taller, you can simply use the Kio reboarder instead of the Avan. A large sun canopy and an innovative ventilation system ensure a pleasant seating climate in the infant carrier. Thanks to the light weight and the ergonomic handle, the baby shell is very easy to carry.

Tested safety: Stiftung Warentest (child seat test 05/2022) rates the Avan infant carrier in combination with the Avan/Kio Base as Good (1.8).

A lot of comfort on the road

You can use the Recaro Avan infant carrier for your child from birth to 15 months of age. The included seat reducer allows even newborns to lie back safely.

The shell can also be used comfortably outside the car, because at only 4.1 kg, the Avan baby shell is one of the lightest of its kind. The ergonomic handle fits comfortably in the hand. In addition, you can use the shell in combination with a stroller as a practical Shop'n Drive system.

Safety is ensured, among other things, by the 3-point harness system with patented Hero technology, which prevents the straps from twisting or slipping and makes it easier to buckle up. Particularly strong protection in the event of a side crash is provided by the Advanced Side Protection - System (ASP). This innovative protection system consists of generous seat side panels and additional padding in the hip and shoulder areas.

Color-contrasting controls ensure intuitive and easy handling. For example, the headrest can be adjusted in 5 positions with a single hand movement, making it easy to adapt to the size of your child. This ensures even more safety and seating comfort. The innovative ventilation system with mesh fabric and openings on the outer shell ensure a pleasant seating climate and prevent heat build-up. The large, fold-out sun canopy with UV protection 50+ offers optimum protection from the sun's rays. Thanks to the smart design, there is still enough distance to the bar even when the sun canopy is folded out. Comfortable carrying of the shell is thus guaranteed.

The Prime quality seats are woven in twill weave - which makes them smooth and particularly cuddly. They are just as hard-wearing as the Select quality seats. The warm, muted colors of the Prime seats make them particularly eye-catching.

Attachment with and without base

The Recaro Avan infant carrier can be attached in 2 different ways. On the one hand, the shell can simply be fixed with the 3-point belt of the car and thus also allows flexible use in vehicles without Isofix device. The color-contrasting, lateral recesses allow an intuitively correct attachment. On the other hand, the infant carrier is compatible with the separately available Recaro Isofix Base Avan / Kio i-Size (not included). This guarantees a quick, comfortable and safe installation.
