Comfort and safety

The Recaro Optia can be used from the age of about 9 months and is the perfect successor to your infant carrier. With the innovative HERO system, group I passengers sit safely. An integrated 5-point harness keeps your treasure firmly in the seat. The large, soft pads around the belt prevent uncomfortable cutting as well as slipping and twisting.

Shoulder pads, shoulder straps and headrest form a single unit and provide optimum protection in the event of an accident. The seat shell is made in one piece and is therefore particularly stable. Impacts are effectively absorbed by the Advanced Side Protection. The side protectors are the first to come into contact with the vehicle door and absorb some of the forces. When not in use, they can be folded away to save space.

Thanks to the Recaro SMARTfit comfort system, your child will not only sit safely, but also very comfortably. The headrest is 6-way adjustable and transports your little passenger in a comfortable position. The reclining position can be adjusted with just a flick of the wrist and the other elements can also be operated intuitively.

Fastening

The Optia is easily and quickly installed via Isofix. As the owner of a Recaro baby car seat you will already have the Fix Base, otherwise you can find it in our store. Practical color indicators signal you the correct installation. If the support base and Isofix connections are set correctly, the symbols on the indicator switch to green.

Care instructions

Seat and harness can be cleaned with lukewarm water. The covers can be removed and machine washed at 30 °C.
