The Kio - Select - Night Black reboarder child seat meets the new i-Size standard (ECE R129/03). Rear-facing children up to approx. 4 years drive safely and comfortably here. From a height of 76 cm (from about 16 months) you can also use the seat forward facing. The Kio is attached with the Isofix base Avan / Kio Base i-Size (not included). The Kio is part of the Recaro Modular System in combination with the Avan infant carrier and the Avan / Kio Base i-Size.

Tested safety: Stiftung Warentest (child seat test 05/2022) rates the Kio reboarder in combination with the Avan/Kio Base as Good (2.3).

Comfort and safety

The seat, which is equipped with seat foam, offers maximum comfort. It optimally adapts to the body shape of your child. With the newborn insert (available separately), you can use the Kio from birth (40 - 60 cm). Without the insert, it can be used from the age of approx. 3 months. As a reboarder that grows with your child, your child will not only ride in a rear-facing position for the obligatory first 15 months, but up to a height of 105 cm. Thus, your offspring is particularly well protected up to an age of about four years. Practical: From a height of at least 76 cm (about 16 months), the child seat can also be positioned in the direction of travel.

Note: We recommend the use of the complete modular system (baby shell Avan and then Kio each combined with the Avan / Kio Base i-Size). So you enjoy the greatest possible flexibility and safety.

With ASP system and intuitive controls

The integrated side impact protection with fold-out protectors (Advanced Side Protection) reliably secures your child and absorbs impact energy in the event of an accident. The protectors can be folded out in the direction of the door and reliably absorb lateral accident forces.

Color-contrasting controls ensure intuitive and easy handling. For example, the headrest can be adjusted 6-fold with a flick of the wrist and adapts to the size of your child. This ensures even more safety and seating comfort. The innovative ventilation system with mesh fabric and openings on the outer shell ensure a pleasant seating climate and prevent heat build-up. With the practical one-hand recline adjustment, 3 resting positions can be set in each of the two driving directions.

Fastening in the car

The child seat is attached using the Isofix base Avan / Kio i-Size (sold separately). You then anchor the seat and base in your vehicle using the Isofix locking arms. The adjustable support foot of the base is positioned in the footwell of the car and provides additional support here.
