The SCD835/26 digital video baby monitor from Philips AVENT has a 2.7-inch LCD color screen so you can always keep an eye on your baby. With the intercom function and 5 lullabies, you can quickly calm your offspring. The range is up to 50 meters indoors and 300 meters outdoors. Thanks to ECO mode, the baby monitor can also be used in a particularly power-saving way - yet you can still see the connection strength to the baby unit on a display. The baby monitor has 4 different modes: transmission with picture, sound transmission only, activation in case of noises in the nursery and the power saving mode.

Transmission & connection mode

The high-resolution color screen with 7 cm screen diagonal transmits crystal clear images, regardless of the lighting conditions in the nursery. In darkness, the infrared night vision function automatically turns on. The high quality sound transmission ensures that you can not only see your baby perfectly, but also hear him crystal clear. Thanks to customizable FHSS (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum) technology, the connection is always secure and private.

There are 4 different operating modes available for the baby monitor. In video mode, there is continuous picture and sound transmission and you can see your baby on the LCD display all the time. If you only want to hear your baby, simply switch to audio mode and the screen will turn off. In VOX mode, the display and audio turn off when no sounds are detected for 20 seconds. However, the connection remains and as soon as sounds are heard again, the transmission immediately turns on again. Even in the energy-saving ECO mode, image and sound transmission are switched off when it is quiet in the baby's room. In addition, there is no permanent radio connection between the baby and parent units. This is only re-established when the device detects noise. However, you can see that the parent unit is still connected to the baby unit via the green connection indicator.

If you don't want every little sound from the nursery to be transmitted, you can adjust the sensitivity of the baby monitor. If the sensitivity level is set very high in video and audio mode, the sound will be transmitted continuously. If the sensitivity is lower, quiet sounds will be muted.

Comfort & ease of use

The green LED indicators on the device show you whether the connection between baby and parent unit is stable, the battery is sufficiently charged, the baby monitor is in ECO mode and whether the intercom function is active. On the display, various icons inform you about the connection strength, the current operating mode, the selected lullaby and the battery level.

The volume and brightness of the display can be adjusted on the parent unit. In a noisy environment, you can also turn on the vibration alarm. With the belt clip you can easily hang the receiver on your waistband or belt. The display is now upside down, so you can still see your baby at a glance. This way you can move freely around the house and have both hands free. If you are out of range with the parent unit or the battery is running low, the LEDs light up red and the receiver beeps. With a full battery, you can use the parent unit for about 12 hours without a cord.

Extras for your baby

The lullaby function can be operated directly on the baby unit or on the parent unit. You can choose from 5 soothing melodies that will gently guide your baby to sleep. The selected song will play for about 15 minutes and then turn off automatically. But you can also play all 5 songs in sequence. Of course, you can adjust the volume individually. The intercom function allows you to soothe your baby with your own voice via the baby monitor.

The baby unit can be placed on a stable, flat surface or attached to the wall with the included screws. The camera can be turned and tilted so that you always have your baby in view.
